FREE workshops have been made available to businesses across the county to mark the start of Road Safety Week on Monday.
Gloucestershire will be supporting the national campaign which is highlighting the dangers of not looking out for each other.
To celebrate the start of Road Safety Week, the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership is offering businesses free ‘coming to a junction near you’ workshops for their employers.
The free workshops are available to all Gloucestershire businesses and can accommodate up to 30 employees. The interactive sessions are designed to help reinforce the importance of looking out for each other when using the roads.
People who take part in the workshops will learn all about the limitations of the human eye, the difference between looking and seeing, the brains ability to make wrong decisions and what can be done to reduce the likelihood of an accident.

Cllr Will Windsor-Clive, cabinet member for road safety at Gloucestershire County Council, said: “This week is an opportunity for us to spread the importance of being alert, aware and cautious when travelling around the county, be it on foot, push bike, motorbike, public transport or in a car.
“It’s vital for us at the Road Safety Partnership to reach out to businesses and provide essential information and advice about reducing the risk of injury when using Gloucestershire’s roads.”
Maria Boon, the head of Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership, said: “Road Safety Week this year is all about looking out for each other and our workshops are a great reminder of all our joint responsibilities on the road. We really hope that local businesses will take up our well received and free workshops for staff.”
