A GAME bird which appears to be injured is currently stuck in the gutter of the Space opposite the SNJ office.

We have called the RSPCA and an officer is assessing the call.

Meanwhile, if anyone who runs a guttering or building company or has a tall ladder can help, we are sure the bird, which appears to be a pheasant, would appreciate it.

The bird has been on the roof, which is three storeys high, for about an hour.

Update at 3pm - the fire brigade have just turned up, as they were putting up a ladder the bird flew off.
