A SECOND man has been arrested following an incident on the Gloucestershire-Herefordshire border where badger culling is believed to be taking place.
Gloucestershire police involved in Operation Themis, the force's response to the badger cull, arrested the man at a farm on the county border on Thursday, September 25.
The man, a 48-year-old from Salford in Greater Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of common assault and aggravated trespass and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until October 7.
This latest arrest follows an incident at a farm at Bromsberrow Heath near Ledbury at about 10pm on Monday, September 22.
The first offender, a 30-year-old from the Bristol area has been charged with aggravated trespass and common assault and has been bailed to appear before Cheltenham Magistrate’s court on Thursday October 23.
