A MALE cyclist has died following a road traffic collision between him and a black BMW.

Police believe this incident was a possible hit and run.

The collision took place on Stroud Road B4072, close to St Barnabas Church, next to the St Barnabas roundabout, around 7am today, Friday.

As investigations continue the A4173 Stroud Road remains closed and the closure is expected to be in place until midday today.

Diversions are in place.
