POLICE are investigating after a serious sexual assault against a male in Tewkesbury.
The incident occurred between 10pm and 11pm on Friday, September 19 in the Grange Road area of Northway, Tewkesbury.
Three men got out of a van and gave chase to the victim after he had pulled his car over to allow them to pass. Having left his vehicle, the man ran to a nearby field where he was the victim of a serious sexual assault. This was accompanied by verbal threats.
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward who may have driven along Grange Road that evening, in particular if they recall seeing a parked white Transit van in that road.
The smallest of details may assist in the investigation so please call if you were in the area that evening.
There were three white males seen in the van. The first is described as 6ft 1in, aged in his 30’s to late 40’s, completely bald and wearing blue jeans and black work boots.
The second man is described as 6ft 1in, bald on the top but with hair round the side, wearing jeans and a coat.
While the third man is described as around 5ft 5in tall, black/brown shaved hair wearing a smart shirt and blue jeans.
It is not believed this was a random attack and therefore police do not believe that the general public is in danger from these assailants.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 urgently, quoting incident 19 of September 20 and crime number 21798/14.
