A 63-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital after getting involved in a disagreement with a group of people in Stroud yesterday, Thursday.
According to a police spokesman the man become involved in a disagreement with a group of people over who had the right of way while walking down an alleyway off Stroud high street.
The incident escalated and became more heated eventually causing the father and boyfriend of a girl in the group to believe that she was about to be assaulted or had already been assaulted.
The man was then grabbed and pulled sideways causing him to hit his head against a wall, according to police.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said: "The man was complaining of feeling dizzy and was slipping in and out of consciousness but there was no visible injury and no blood."
An ambulance was called and he was taken to A&E at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
