A FORMER Wycliffe College student is to direct his first feature film.
Randwick-based Guy Davies, 23, plans to shoot the short film entitled Day in New York in the spring or summer next year.
Based on true events, it will follow several characters over the course of a single day in New York.
The plot focuses on Leo – an intelligent, caring boy in his late teens growing up in a rough neighbourhood.
Viewers will witness his adolescent adventures including buying alcohol, joking around with friends and, of course, struggling to solve the mystery of girls.
Guy, who studied cinematography at the New York Film Academy, is part of Stroud production company Zebrafish Media, which gained positive feedback after debuting a short film called Emily last year.
The film was well received at several global film festivals including Soho International, New York in May this year and HollyShorts International last month in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
More information about Day can be found at daythemovie.com
Zebrafish produces films, commercials, and more.
