This year the theme of the annual Stonehouse Celebration Day is TV and film detectives, so the high street should be packed with Dr Watsons, Hercule Poirots and Nancy Drews.

Staff from the 2 i’s cafe will be dressing up as Scooby Doo characters.

There will be entertainment for all ages including stalls, a bouncy castle, a disco, face painting and American vintage cars as well as live music outside the Woolpack.

Competitions for children will be held throughout the day with an investigative theme and there will also be a wheelbarrow challenge in the Globe car park, which involves pushing a teddy bear in a small wheelbarrow for youngsters, and for over 13s taking part, another person.
