MAGICIAN Colin Dymond is hoping to conjure up a major success when he competes in the world’s largest magic convention this February.
Colin, 51, of Stonehouse performs for thousands of children across Britain as a magician and ventriloquist with his side kick, Snot the Dragon.
The father-of-two, of Ace of Diamonds Magic Company also works for nationwide charity, POD who organise entertainment for children in hospitals around the country.
On Monday, September 8, full-time magician Colin won the Kidology UK Children’s Entertainer of The Year Award, in Wolverhampton. Each year six entertainers are invited to take part in the Kidology children’s entertainer convention.
Colin said: “There were more than 30 children and 150 adults in the audience. The audience vote and at the end of the evening I was voted the winner. As part of the prize I get to compete in the world’s largest magic convention to become the UK’s Children’s Entertainer of the Year.
“I felt very proud as it was a strong line up. I put a lot of hard work into creating original routines.”
For the last 20 years Colin has used his award winning skills to entertain and amaze both children and adults.
The popular magician lectured on Wednesday, September 10 at the UK’s first convention for ventriloquists, Ventarama.
