CAR drivers in a collision shortly before 7am this morning had a lucky escape after a Skoda Fabia was turned on its side.
Two women, one driving a silver Skoda Fabia and the other a silver Volkswagen Golf collided in London Road at around 6.40am.
Up to five police cars attended the scene along with an ambulance which treated one woman in her 40s for minor injuries.
The road was closed for a short amount of time causing delays before reopening at 8.30am.
Coned off from the road and causing no obstructions to traffic, the Skoda Fabia is still at the scene where it will be tended to by police.
According to a police spokesman, both victims suffered shock however have both walked away from the incident.
