POLICE have concluded that no criminal offences were committed when a man was left seriously injured after it was believed he was thrown from a van in Wotton-under-Edge.
After interviewing witnesses and examining CCTV related to the incident on Saturday, September 13 officers have now concluded that the injured man was not pushed from the vehicle, but that the other occupants were attempting to achieve urgent medical attention for him.
The three men arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and a man and a woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have now all been released from their bail.
Officers were extremely impressed with the response from the general public to this incident and wish to thank everyone who came forward, in particular those who gave immediate first aid to the injured man.
He remains in hospital in a life threatening condition.
