MISSING my personal training sessions with Matt at Fifth Dimension at the moment as we both have other commitments making meeting up difficult.
Hopefully will be back in the routine soon.
In the meantime have enjoyed not having to get up with the lark and have been trying to keep up with other forms of exercise such as swimming and Couch to 5K.
It’s now five weeks since I cut out bread, gluten, dairy, alcohol and caffeine from my diet and I have managed, in the main, to stick to it.
Haven’t missed bread in the slightest, or dairy or caffeine but I have allowed myself the odd cup of decaf coffee with milk and I hold my hands up toa few glasses of wine last weekend.
The strange thing is though that I feel so good when I don’t have any of the above that I am no longer enjoying my odd cheats and am usually full of regret that I veered off course.
Eating out at a friend’s house at the weekend proved difficult as they produced a curry so I just bit my lip and got on with it.
I think you have to accept what you are given in those circumstances and the sky didn’t come crashing in.
I just made a concerted effort to be extra careful the following day and no harm seems to have been done, the bathroom scales are still going in the right direction, albeit slowly.
If I am going to reach my target on time I am going to have to step up the exercise – and definitely stop cheating!
