POLICE are appealing for information to trace a vulnerable man missing from a Nympsfield care home.
Robert Smith, 64, was last seen at about 6.30pm last night (Thursday, September 11) at St Jude's home in Front Street.
There is evidence in his room that he had planned to leave, but left no notes and made no comments to staff. Officers are concerned for his welfare, particularly as he walks with difficulty, has slight dementia and has left behind his medication. His disappearance is out of character.
Searches are being made by officers of the local area.
Mr Smith is white, 5ft 9ins tall, with short, untidy, dark-brown greying hair. It is believed he is wearing a grey, long-sleeved top and blue corded jogging trousers. He uses a silver walking stick.
Anyone who knows where Mr Smith is, is asked to call 101, quoting incident no 80 of 12/9/11.
