TRAVELLERS who moved on to a playing field in Stagholt Lane, Stonehouse have ignored a deadline to leave.
Two of the four caravans which arrived at the site on Friday were still there after the deadline of 2pm today laid down by landowner Stonehouse Town Council.
Stonehouse town clerk Gill Jennings said: "There are two families on Stagholt field at present. "They were given notice to quit the site by 2pm yesterday but have refused to cooperate.
"The Council will be taking further action to have the travellers removed."
