COMPETITIVE cooks, green-fingered gardeners and veritable vegetable growers are gearing up for this year's Oakridge Village Show on Saturday, September 7.
The ever-popular annual event, which starts at 2pm, has 65 standard classes for competitors to enter this year, ranging from vegetable to flower arrangement, baking to photography classes.
There is also a special class for a decorated wheelbarrow and a number of classes for youngsters aged up to 16, with prizes for the winners.
A fun dog competition, karate display and classic car show are among the many highlights plus an array of stalls.
The presentation of trophies will take place at 4pm and at 4.30pm there will be an auction of produce and donated items, with proceeds going to the Hope For Tomorrow charity, which provide a mobile chemotherapy unit.
