COULD you help care for a disabled child? Gloucestershire County Council is looking for more people to become Family Link carers.
The council’s Family Link service offers family-based short breaks to disabled children and young people.
The breaks give the child some quality time and new experiences while their parents and siblings can spend time together or make time to do other things they need to, like attend appointments and go shopping.
There are 65 disabled children and young people from across the county who benefit from short breaks with the county council’s Family Link service.
The council currently has 46 Family Link carers and is always looking for people with relevant skills and experience to become Family Link carers.
There will be a chance to find out more about Family Link and how you could get involved by visiting information the information stand at Sainsburys, Stroud on Thursday, September 12 from 10am-4pm.
