A CAREER taking pictures of bands is in the frame for talented Milly Blythe after she achieved an A* in GCSE photography aged just 14.
After developing a passion for photography, Archway School student Milly started studying the subject early at GCSE level when she was 12 and picked up the top grade on Thursday morning.
Although Archway doesn’t offer the subject at GCSE, Milly was able to take a two-year course at Beaufort Community School in Tuffley.
She mainly studied portraiture but also undertook landscape projects.
"I was inspired by my dad, who does a lot of photography," said Milly, who lives in Bisley Old Road, Stroud with brother Sam, 17, mum Clare and dad Pete, who runs the Cornflower and Calico shop in Stroud High Street."I really enjoyed the course.
"At the end of the first year I got a B so I am really pleased as I didn't expect an A*.
"It was hard work as I had to balance it with other school work and I also perform in shows so I had to balance it with rehearsals.
"My dream is to be able to go to live music events and be a photographer for bands.
"I also love designing album covers."
