A MALE Jack Russell has died from fatal injuries incurred in a violent dog attack by two Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

The Jack Russell in question, owned by a local woman, was being walked at the time of the attack shortly after midday on Wednesday, August 21, after which he was rushed to the vets but later died.

Officers, who were called to Boverton Drive in Brockworth where the attack occurred, have since spoken to the owner of the bull terriers, who is said to have expressed remorse and is fully co-operating with the police investigation which is now underway.

Police have ensured the dogs are now secured.

Any witnesses to the incident, who have not yet spoken to the police, should call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 167 of August 21.
