FOLLOWING the success of last year’s festival, Westonbirt Arboretum will once again be hosting its three-day signature summer event, Treefest, over this bank holiday weekend, from Saturday to Monday, August 26.
Visitors will be able to see traditional woodcraft and woodland skills in operation, and have a go themselves.
There’ll be displays from the Black Mountains falconry team, axe carving and racing by The Welsh Axemen, and the opportunity to observe the sawmill in use in the Working Woodlands.
Meanwhile, music lovers can enjoy live acoustic, soul, country and folk from a selection of South West artists, who will be performing in the evenings.
The line-up includes: Kitten and Bear, Ezekiel Butler, the Lonely Tourist, Folklaw and the Roving Crows.
Plus Nicky Swann, who’ll also be leading a songwriting workshop.Festival camping is available at the nearby Holford Arms pub, which boasts a newly refurbished Camping and Caravanning Club-registered site, modern facilities and country pub atmosphere – with a free shuttle bus operating every morning and evening for campers with weekend tickets.
