POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Cheltenham yesterday evening, Tuesday.
The emergency services were called to St Paul's Street North shortly before 7pm to reports that a black Honda HR-V had collided with a child.
A three-year-old boy, who is from Malaysia, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries to his legs.
The driver of the Honda, a 44-year-old man from Bishops Cleeve, was spoken to by officers at the scene.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101, quoting incident number 402 of August 20.
