SUPPORTERS of Tetbury Hospital tee'd off to raise more than £4,000 at a charity golf match.

Eighteen teams of four took on the 18-hole course at Minchinhampton Golf Club before the three best teams faced each other in a put-off.

After team Adam Byron won golfers, spectators and supporters enjoyed lunch in the club house followed by a raffle and an auction which included a Highgrove tea set donated by HRH Prince Charles - the hospital's patron.

Other prizes included a Manchester United football signed by the 2012/2013 team and a day for two at Cheltenham races.

Inspector Lynley actor Nathaniel Parker, who lives in Avening, awarded the winning team with their trophy.

The day, organised by the Friends of Tetbury Hospital, raised £4,399 for the hospital, which offers patients access to more than 25 NHS consultants from a wide range of specialities.
