BAAA...RING the rain it was a delightful day in Bisley on Saturday as villagers launched their annual sheep trail.
The flock of woolly wonders, which has been put together by residents, including author Jilly Cooper, will linger in the picturesque village for the next two weeks in the run-up to Bisley's popular flower show and fete on Saturday, August 31.
In the meantime, families from across the Five Valleys are being invited to the village to see how many sheep they can spot, with a prize of £50 on offer for one lucky winner.
The sheep trail was launched at Bisley WI Village Hall in Manor Street on Saturday, where teas and cakes were on sale, together with maps, which are now available from the George Stores in the village.
"Bisley's annual sheep trail is now in its third year and always attracts large numbers of visitors, who make the most of the opportunity to enjoy strolling around our picturesque village," said organiser Peter Thorp.
"We hope there will be lots of glorious sunshine for people trying to hunt for our woolly wonders."
Proceeds from the sheep trail go towards the upkeep of All Saints' Church and the running costs of the flower show.
