SKY Sports favourite Alex Hammond is set to compete in Cheltenham's Half Marathon, running alongside thousands of individuals taking to the streets of Cheltenham on Sunday 15 September.
Alex features on Sky Sports News, providing extended coverage of recent horse racing events, as well as a Tip of the Day.
This makes her place in Cheltenham's Half Marathon all the more fitting, as mile 11 will see runners venturing around the famous Cheltenham Racecourse.
On running the race, Alex said: “I’m really looking forward to running Cheltenham’s Half Marathon in September. I’ve really got into my running over the last 18 months and I’m constantly looking for new and exciting challenges and places to run.
I was lucky enough to ride at the Cheltenham Festival in March, so it will be awesome to near the end of this race at such an iconic sporting venue.”
The event has been designed to show off all that is great about Cheltenham, combining regency splendour with bags of Cotswold charm.
The 13.1 mile journey will start and finish on Evesham Road, alongside Pittville Park and in addition to Cheltenham Racecourse, runners will also enjoy the sights of the tree-lined Promenade, Montpellier, and the broad, flat streets of Lansdown Road.

There are many reasons for taking part, a personal challenge, raising vital funds for charity or simply a love of the race! Running has a strange sense of uniting individuals from all walks of life, and we are excited to bring this spirit to Cheltenham in September!”
