OFFICERS from the proactive team in Hester's Way have uncovered between £15,000 and £25,000 of cannabis at a house in St Paul's today, Wednesday.
Police executed a search warrant at the address in Marle Hill Road at around 9am and found 42 cannabis plants and dried leaves.
Scenes of crime officers will now carry out a forensic examination of the property and the class B drug will be seized.
Police Constable Craig Openshaw said: "The plants were in the basement and spread out around the house. There is also hyrdoponics and lighting equipment which we will confiscate.
"The plants are ready for harvesting so it would have been a good yield with a high street value.
"No arrests have been made yet but we have other inquiries to pursue in order to catch up with the suspect.
