A RECYCLING video is being made by Stroud District Council in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council.
The video explains the wide range of materials which can be picked up at the kerbside and goes into detail about what happens once it is collected.
SDC says that although the new recycling scheme has been successful in increasing recycling and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, an estimated 20 to 25 per cent of the district’s households still do not recycle.
A spokesman for SDC said: "We hope that by watching the video residents will gain valuable information about the council’s recycling service. Once finished the video will be forwarded to all ward members and parish councils, as well as all schools in the district in the new term.
"We also aim to put a link to the video on the council’s website, YouTube and the Recycle for Gloucestershire website and show the video at the next Proud of Stroud sessions."
