GLOUCESTERSHIRE Fire and Rescue Service is launching a new £1.8 million operating system which it says will lead to faster response times.
The new system, which is designed to reduce the time it takes operators to handle calls and for fire crews to respond, will be launched tomorrow, Thursday.
Gloucestershire is only the second fire and rescue service in the country to install the new system, although several others are expected to follow suit in the coming months.
