DRIZZLE failed to stop the crowds from flocking to Nailsworth's Christmas goodwill evening.
Parents enjoyed warming glasses of spicy mulled wine and perused craft stalls while youngsters screamed on stomach-churning fairground rides last Friday.
Tom Norbury, 11, was visiting with mum Jane and family friend Jill Foster.
"I loved the twister and the hot dogs best," he said while eagerly eyeing up his next fairground ride.
Marling School pupil Alex Sharp, 12, had just been whizzed around on the Mega Dance.
"It sends your stomach upside down but it was really good fun," he said.
Paul Spencer, from Nailsworth, was visiting with son Bailey, two, daughter Chelsea, seven, and partner Carrie.
"The kids don't mind the weather, they just want to have a good time," he said.
As usual, candles were lit in memory of lost loved ones and floated on the river by boy scouts.
