DANNY and Katie McCue bring the HIV and AIDS Benefit Concert back to the Stroud Subscription Rooms for the tenth and final time under their direction this weekend.

In the meantime, there is an eclectic jamboree taking place at the Subscription Rooms for the final event.

"Circle of Song will open the show at 7pm to sing people to their seats," said Katie. "At 7.30pm MC Crispin Thomas will start proceedings in style. He'll be performing with Out to Lunch, which is - for one night only - returning to it's original line-up of Crispin, Jeff the Fuse and Dave Finch on saxophone.

"We also have Crimea, singing to one of his orchestral pieces, Eddie Mercury, who's sure to raise eyebrows and smiles, Earthwards, who performed at the first gig 10 years ago, Short Blues Fuze, Flamenco music, Egyptian dance from Haziz, Souled and Healed performing new songs. The mighty Ska Daddy will close the show."

As before, all profits go to Sue Ryder in Leckhampton and the Gloucestershire AIDS Trust.

"We'd love someone to take over," said Danny, "and we've had preliminary talks with the Hub Collective, but if anyone's interested, could they contact me on souledandhealed@talktalk.net. In the meantime, we would like to thank everyone who has given so generously of themselves over the past 10 years to support this event . If you can't be there on the night be sure to wear a Red Ribbon on December 1, World AIDS Day."

The HIV and AIDS Benefit Concert takes place on Saturday, November 25 from 7pm. Tickets, priced £10, are available on the door or from the box office.
