10.2.1934 – 18.10.2024 Beloved husband of Mavis, father of Sarah, Lucy and the late Jolyon, grandfather and great grandfather.Formula 3 TT Winner and World Champion 1977.
Past President of the TT Riders Association.
He rode the Mountain Circuit (IOM) for 22 years.
Life President of the British Motorcycle Trust.Funeral service to take place at
Westerleigh Crematorium, Waterside Chapel
on Thursday 14th November at 1.15pm.Family flowers only please.Donations for the ‘TT Riders Association’ and

My condolences to the Family. I repaired many magnetos for John and when I gave up he still popped in for a chat, I shall miss that. It was always a pleasure to see him and fascinating to hear his stories of his time racing and of others on the circuit.
