JOHN DAVID PHILLIPS. 1929–2020. Much loved father and grandfather died peacefully on 28th November, aged 91, in Looe, Cornwall. Born and educated in Stroud, he sung and worshipped at Rodborough Tabernacle in his youth and was later a Lay Reader at St Laurence Church. He was a teacher and housemaster at Cheltenham College in 1952 – 1971 and headmaster of Marling School, Stroud, in 1971 – 1985. Donations if desired to St Martin's with St Nicholas Church, Looe, Cornwall via Richardson's Funeral Directors, 3 Barbican Rise, Barbican Road, Looe, Cornwall PL13 1QQ.
