I have only today learned of Doreen's passing and I am sad to hear this news. Doreen (Buckle) and my mother Eileen Young(Cleverley) were great friends in their early years. Mum sadly died several years ago but I do remember the tales when they were youngsters. Doreen often stayed over at Mum's house in Tetbury Street Minchinhampton even though her own home was not too far away.
When I was a boy I can remember Doreen visiting mum at our house in Chandos rd in 1959.The reason I remember this visit so well is Doreen had just taken delivery of one of the first Mini motor cars, I was so impressed. My condolences to the family and may Doreen RIP.
