WRIGHT Ronald (Ron) of Stonehouse formerly Thrupp. Sadly passed away on January 6th, 2017, aged 92. Much loved husband of the late Barbara, dad of Graham, father in law of Tina, gramp of Christopher, Emily, Richard and Callum. Now reunited with his beloved wife Barbara. A private service has taken place. The family gives their sincere thanks for the help and care that Ron received from Doctor Luke Benson and all at the High Street Medical Centre, Stonehouse, the District Nurses, Ben and the carers of Live Well at Home, the Elms Care Home, David Stephen of Philip Ford & Son and to Karen Imms for the lovely service. Ron had recently been awarded medals from the Russian Government for his service in the Royal Navy serving on the Arctic Convoys to Russia in WW2. Previously he had also received a medal from the British Government for serving on the same convoys, for which he was very proud. You will never be forgotten. In his memory a donation was made by his family to The Arctic Convoys Museum.
