RICHARD GEORGE WATSON "DOLLY" Of Nupend Stonehouse Much loved husband of Gill and Father of Geoff, Chris and Louise, a loved Grandoll of William, Myles, Maya and Isla. Passed away peacefully on Sunday 4th May 2014 after an illness bravely borne, aged 64 years. A service of Thanksgiving will be held at The Parish Church of St Cyr, Stonehouse on Friday, 16th May at 12.30pm Family flowers only , donations in lieu may be sent for (and made payable to) The Cotswold Care Hospice or The Brain Box Fund c/o Allen White Funeral Directors, Crown Mews, Bath Road King's Stanley, Stonehouse GL10 3JG

Now living in the Canaries I have only just heard of Dolly’s passing. Although I have not seen much of Dolly for the last 20 years, we were in the same class at school, we were in the same apprentice intake at Hoffmann Bearings/RHP and we both lived in or near Stonehouse most of our lives. Even though at the age now when I know well this kind of news will be calling, this is the most unexpected.
My memories of Dolly are of a character I admired. He was strong, fit, enthusiastic, and fun. One of the brightest stars in my sky.
