BOY-girl indie-folk duo Slow Club play their Bright Eyes-style tuneage and olde-timey Americana in Stratford Park on Saturday.
The pair hail from Sheffield, and are as much known for their banging of glass bottles and chairs, as for their catchy hooks. Formed back in 2005, the band comprises of Rebecca Taylor and Charles Watson, who are currently signed to infamous indie label Moshi Moshi Records. The label released their debut album Yeah So back in 2009 and follow-up LP Paradise in 2011.
Daniel Radcliffe, aka Harry Potter, stars in the video for their single Beginners (2012). Shot in one take it features an inebriated Radcliffe stumbling about in an empty pub, downing drinks and looking decidedly worse for wear.
This special event has been organised by the Prince Albert pub and Keith Allen as part of the Stroud Food Festival.
