NICHOLAS Simms sings songs from the shows in this month’s Music at Minch concert on Sunday.
Minchinhampton lad Nic gave his first performance at the age of three, singing to the Everglades Ladies club. And at the age of nine, he became a Gloucester Cathedral Chorister, leaving the choir when his treble voice broke.
Later, Nic took the lead role of Seymour for the Cotswold Players' production of Little Shop of Horrors, which won him the company's Best Actor Award for the year (2010-2011).
He also played Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream for the Cotswold Players’ production in October 2011, a performance which earned recognition from the Royal Shakespeare Company and the opportunity to perform at Stratford's Courtyard Theatre. Gloucestershire Theatre Association presented him with the Best Youth Performer Award.
The performance takes place Minchinhampton’s Holy Trinity Church on Sunday, 7pm. Tickets are available on the door, or in advance from Market Stores.
