PAINSWICK Rugby Football Club have announced a number of changes to their club committee board ahead of their 151st season.
Following their historic 150th campaign in 2022/23, Painswick voted in a new chairman and treasurer at their latest Annual General Meeting as they prepare for the new campaign.
Pre-season begins this week for the club and last week, they announced that long-standing Honorary Treasurer Chris Hall has stepped down from his roles at the club after many years.
"The club would like to publicly thank Chris for his hard work and dedication over the years," a statement read on the club's official Facebook page.
"This hard work included (but certainly not limited to!) oversight of changing of company structure, the development of the junior section alongside Will Fair, work on the constitution and setting up of the limited company and management of finance on behalf of the club.
"All of which have required considerable dedication."
Other than Culb President Andrew Morgan and Honourary Secretary Chris Coombs, all of the positions are now filled by new members who were all voted in at the recent AGM.
Craig Moyo has become the new chairman and Brent Morgan takes over as Treasurer from the departing Hall.
Here are the new faces filling the remaining roles on the committee:
Club President – Andrew Morgan
Club Chairman – Craig Mayo
Honorary Secretary – Chris Coombs
Honorary Treasurer – Brent Morgan
Fixtures Secretary – Martin Hayward
Elected Director – Dom Barnard
Commercial Lead - Sam Gabb
Mini & Junior Lead - Tom Russell
Social Lead - Calum Abbott
The club have also called on new volunteers to join the rugby club, as well as any new players.
"Ahead of the 2023-24 season, we will be organising a couple of volunteer days to get the club ready for the start of the season.
"We’ll send out more information later, but we will be looking for anyone who can help whether it’s wielding a paintbrush, general maintenance or just sorting out kit. There will be plenty to do!
"Pre-season training starts on Thursday 6th July at 6.30pm. All new, old and existing players are most welcome."
