A WOMAN'S body was recovered from the canal in the Stroud area on Sunday morning.
Police were called to the canal near Brimscombe at 10.45am after a member of the public saw a body in the water.
The woman - believed to be aged in her 50s - was removed from the canal by the emergency services.
According to police, the death is not being treated as suspicious, and the woman's next of kin has been notified.
