AN air ambulance attended a “serious” three-vehicle crash which has left a road closed near Cheltenham. 

It is believed road closures are still in place near Winchcombe along the B4077 and B4078 at Toddington after a collision yesterday afternoon, Saturday, July 15. 

Police were called around 4.40pm with a report of a three-vehicle collision on the B4077 crossroads junction with the B4078.

The incident included an MG classic car, black Citroen van and a white Audi.

Emergency services attended and the passenger of the MG was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.

The driver was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious. Others were checked over at the scene.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said yesterday evening: “Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dashcam footage of what happened.

“Closures are expected to remain in place in the area for a number of hours.

“Information can be provided to police online by completing the following form and quoting incident 371 of July 15.” 

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire County Council Highways said yesterday evening: “The B4077 and B4078 at Toddington have been closed to traffic following a collision this evening.

“It is likely that they will be closed overnight so please find alternate routes.”
