Like many people in Stroud, we believe that The Light is full of conspiracy theories. We think it belongs in the bin.
We don’t want to ban The Light. We believe in free speech: we think everyone should be entitled to think, say and write whatever they like – no matter how odious or dangerous their views.
Apart from anything else, we don’t believe that banning things works.
But, at the same time, we cannot believe that the people of Stroud want this on our streets.
That is why we would like to encourage as many people as possible to pick up a copy of The Light. Have a read and make your own mind up.
We are confident that if you do decide to take a look at The Light, you won’t like what you see.
And this is why we urge to you to take a copy. In fact, the more copies you take, the better.
Each copy taken off our street wastes the resources of those who publish it.
By putting this in the bin, the people of Stroud can send a clear message that our town rejects The Light and the views and groups it endorses.
Take a copy as often as you can – and encourage your friends to do the same.
If you don’t want this on the streets of Stroud, please pay a part in helping to get rid of it.
Remember: this is Stroud. Let’s make our views known in a calm and peaceful way.
Let’s be kind but let’s be clear: it’s time to switch off The Light.
