A GRAFFITI artist has spray-painted a phallic symbol over potholes in Stroud.
The wording alongside the image of the genitalia is a play on the name of the politically minded graffiti artist, Banksy.
It appeared on Saturday morning in Brickrow as a clear signal about how many feel about the state of Gloucestershire's roads.
Similar images have also appeared on potholes along Horns Road.
Some suspect it could be linked to an unidentified 'road artist' who, according to their Facebook page, takes “direct action by using art to highlight the dangerous potholes that damage our vehicles and harm cyclists on a daily basis”.
The potholes in question have been painted round in yellow to show that they are in line to be refilled.
The SNJ has contacted Gloucestershire County Council and is waiting for a statement.
