A CHILD who was in a car involved in a collision in which a man died in Stroat yesterday, Wednesday now in a critical condition.
A 21-year-old man from South Wales died when a Fiat Punto he was driving was in collision with a BMW on the A48 shortly after 8am.
Initial information indicated that all four occupants of the BMW were not seriously injured.
On further assessment at hospital however, a two-year-old boy who was in the car was deemed to have suffered serious injuries and is now in a critical condition.
The 25-year-old man driving the BMW had also suffered a serious but not life threatening injury while a 3-year-old boy also in the car suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.
A 9-year-old boy who was in the front passenger seat suffered minor injuries.
The occupants of the BMW are all part of the same family.
The driver of the BMW remains at Bristol Royal Infirmary and the children at Bristol Children's Hospital.
Police are once again urging any witnesses who haven't come forward to call 101 and quote incident 72 of February 11.
