We are on the move!
The Stroud News & Journal is moving to a new home, but don’t worry we are still planning to stay locally in Stroud.
Changes in the industry and technological advances mean we no longer require a building as large as our current premises.
We are on the hunt to find something that is more current for our fantastic team, whilst considering the environment and allowing a new owner the opportunity to fully utilise this beautiful building and space.
Regional editor Stephanie Preece said: “We are as committed as ever to reporting on all of the stories that matter to the people of Stroud and surrounding valleys.
“Our editorial team will continue to be based in Stroud but we no longer need such a large building and sadly it’s time to bid farewell to our current home that has served us so well.
“The Stroud News & Journal continues to go from strength to strength, growing its online audience last year as well as continuing to come out in print every week.”
The Stroud News & Journal has been in its current three-storey building in Lansdown road since 1868.
The paper is read by 72 per cent of adults in Stroud and Stonehouse each month.
The building is currently on the market with Hunters for £425,000. For more information click here
