FIRE and rescue services, ambulance staff and police are attending an incident at Bowbridge Lock in Stroud.
According to local information, emergency services were called after clothing and a bag were found at a popular wild swimming spot on the River Frome near Stanton's Bridge but no one could be seen in the water.
Four fire and rescue vehicles along with two emergency response ambulances and several police vehicles are parked at the entrance to Bowbridge Lock at the Butterow Hill junction by the Thompson First garage. There is also a rescue boat.
Fire and rescue officers have been searching along the riverside.
